Welcome to the one-of-a-kind Automobile Driving Museum located in El Segundo, California! The Automobile Driving Museum is among the most exceptional museums of its kind. Displaying more than 70 cars of many makes and spanning the years, our collection is one of beauty as well as educational. While visiting the museum, not only do you have the special opportunity to view the showcased automobiles but you also have the opportunity to sit in them to get the feel of what it was like to drive these classics. On weekend visits, there are select automobiles that are available for our visitors over the age of 10 to ride in. It is with excitement that we offer this opportunity to our guests. It is also what sets us apart from any other automobile museum out there. We have games and trains and will soon have an old time soda fountain. There is definitely something for everyone here at the Automobile Driving Museum so be sure to bring the whole family!

Don’t forget to pick up a souvenir at our eclectic gift shop on your way out, we promise you will be pleasantly surprised at some of the rare items we have in stock.

The Automobile Driving Museum is committed to the preservation and maintenance of our classic, historic and antique vehicles. Although there are no set admission prices to visit the museum, we do ask visitors for a donation to help defray the cost of operating the museum and maintaining the vehicles for future generations to enjoy.

The museum is available to school groups, car clubs, business meetings and other public and private interest groups for private tours. The museum also has ample meeting and event space to host small and large events.

Our History

The Automobile Driving Museum was founded in 2001 with the vision that visitors would not only get an opportunity to see vintage cars but also enjoy a ride in one of the collection’s vintage, antique or special interest automobile.

Sparked by their fascination of vintage model cars, Board Members David Zimmerman, Mitchell Feinstein, Irving Davis and John Tonoyan, Jr. along with Earl Rubenstein, the Museum’s Curator and Stanley Zimmerman, principal sponsor, opened the Automobile Driving Museum in December 2002. To the delight of many, the museum houses one of the best collections of vintage vehicles on the west coast.

Today, the museum focuses on the preservation of orphaned vintage automobiles primarily from the 1930's through the 1950's in addition to classic vehicles from other time periods. The museum also offers access to a vintage automobile library, which includes books, magazines, service manuals and automobile users guides.

In November of 2006 the museum relocated to a new, 28,000 square foot facility in El Segundo, California to allow for expanded space to display its vintage automobile collection, gift shop and library.
